Our Mission
The Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) is the state organization dedicated to empowering optometric professionals in Washington.
Since 1935, OPW has served the interests and promoted the success of optometric physicians and their patients. OPW’s membership consists of over 850 professionals who represent Washington State optometrists and students. We provide our members with a variety of education, advocacy, and networking opportunities, all designed to enhance professionalism and promote high standards of conduct among all modes of licensed optometric practices.
As an affiliate of the American Optometric Association (AOA), an OPW membership offers which offers members access to premier resources to maximize career success, as well as a network of over 40,000 doctors of optometry, optometry students, and paraoptometric assistants and technicians.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
OPW upholds and advances diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are committed to advancing the diversity of the profession of optometry, nurturing an organizational culture that is committed to diversity and inclusion, and continuing efforts to ensure access to care. These endeavors enable OPW to further the profession of optometry and improve the eye, vision, and overall health of the public.
