I’m looking for an OD for part-time fill in work starting in 2025.

I am looking for someone to cover vacations during 2025. I am flexible on dates. I’m hoping that this could turn into a long term part-time position for the right OD.

We practice full scope optometry. We have an Optomap, VF, OCT, techs to work up patients and that do frame styling etc. I see a lot of pediatric and VT patients. However, if you just want to see disease or routine exams and contacts, we have plenty of that too.

Come work with Dr. Gunn and I! We are laid back and have great staff.

Fill-In O.D., Evergreen Eye Care - Vancouver, WA

Our energetic, fun, friendly private optometry practice is looking for a fill-in doctor. Our current associate will be on family leave.

DATES: January through April 2025.

A BIT ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

Private optometry practice with two owners, started in 2008. Our patients are amazing and loyal and we treat them like friends and family. Each day there are two doctors. Each doctor works out of two exam rooms and has a dedicated technician. Pretesting includes AR, NCT, screening VF, and Optomap retinal photos. We also have four opticians, two patient care coordinators, and two insurance specialists.

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for a full-time optometrist (4.5 days per week) to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision and medical care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care and is eager to learn and develop as a practitioner. Your regular duties will include:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams (15-20 exams per day)
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease 
• Prescribe corrective lenses
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
• Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
• Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
• Handle eyecare emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Valid state license to practice optometry
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
