Lunch & Learn: Basic Contract Review Policies
OPW's Third Party Committee (TPC) hosted Steven Eiss, OD, of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association (POA) on November 13, 2025, for a webinar on Basic Contract Review Policies. Dr. Eiss gives optometrists pointers on how to review vision and medical plans to make an educated decision on whether to accept those plans in their practices.

Dr. Eiss is a past president of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, currently serves as chair of the POA Third Party Center Committee, and was named their Optometrist of the Year in 2010. He has served as a representative to the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee for Pennsylvania since 2012, and served on the Pennsylvania Department of Health State Innovation Healthcare Model Workgroup in 2013. |
Steven Eiss, OD, is Senior Partner of Eyecare of the Valley, a three-location optometry/ophthalmology practice in southeast Pennsylvania. He is currently the chair of the American Optometric Association’s Third Party Center Executive Committee and received the AOA’s Payer Advocacy Award in 2022.
